British Council

The British Council provides regular inspections of schools, colleges, and universities which offer courses in English as a Foreign Language (EFL). The scheme gives an assurance of quality to those wanting to study EFL in the UK.

These inspections assure that all accredited centres meet or exceed the agreed quality standards in management, resources and environment, teaching, welfare and care of under 18s.

The British Council accredits all of our General English, Business English and EFL exam courses delivered at our Kings Cross School*.

During our last British Council inspection in August 2019, Malvern House was found to meet the high standards of the scheme and our accreditation was extended for a further 4 years.

Strengths were noted in the areas of:

  • Premises and facilities
  • Learning resources
  • Academic management
  • Care of students
  • Course design
  • Teaching
